Overview
Linapse Browser Connector is the official browser extension for the Linapse CAD Mouse project. It enables 6-degree-of-freedom (6DoF) space mouse navigation in browser-based CAD applications — specifically OnShape and SketchUp Web.
What it does
OnShape and SketchUp Web only activate their 3Dconnexion-style integration when the browser reports a Windows platform. Linapse runs on Linux, Windows, and macOS and bridges your CAD mouse to those apps through a local WebSocket service (spacenav-ws on port 8181).
This extension makes those web apps believe they are running on Windows so they connect to your local Linapse spacenav bridge instead of ignoring the device.
What you need
This extension works together with the Linapse host software — it is not standalone.
A Linapse-compatible CAD Mouse (CAD Mouse MK2)
linapse-service running on your computer
spacenav-ws WebSocket bridge running locally (port 8181)
This extension installed in Chrome, Edge, or another Chromium browser
Install the full Linapse stack from the project repository or use the Windows/macOS/Linux installers, then install this extension and open a document on OnShape or SketchUp Web.

Privacy
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. It injects a small content script at page load on the supported CAD domains only. The script overrides navigator.platform locally in the page context so the web app enables space mouse support. No browsing history, keystrokes, page content, or personal information is accessed or sent to Linapse or any third party.
