Journal Check — always-fresh journal rankings

Overview
Journal Check adds journal ranking badges directly to Google Scholar, PubMed, arXiv, and Semantic Scholar — so you can assess a paper's venue quality without switching tabs.
── WHAT IT SHOWS ──
Next to each search result, Journal Check displays one or more ranking badges drawn from the world's most-used academic quality lists:
• SJR (SCImago Journal Rankings) — quartiles Q1–Q4 for 30,000+ journals
• ABDC — Australian Business Deans Council list (A*/A/B/C)
• ABS AJG — Academic Journal Guide by the Chartered ABS (4*/4/3/2/1)
• FT50 — Financial Times list of top 50 business journals
• CORE — Computer Science conference & journal ranking (A*/A/B/C)
• CCF — China Computer Federation venue list (A/B/C)
• h-index — journal h-index sourced from OpenAlex
• Citation impact — cites-per-work quartile computed from OpenAlex data
You choose which signals matter to you. The strongest enabled signal drives the badge color.
── WHERE IT WORKS ──
• Google Scholar (scholar.google.com)
• PubMed (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)
• arXiv (arxiv.org)
• Semantic Scholar (semanticscholar.org)
── ALWAYS FRESH ──
Rankings are refreshed every month from primary sources. You never look at stale snapshots that were locked in years ago.
