Hörverstehen — German Lis

Instruction:

Here's how the new word selection works:
Step 1 — Classify every word in the sentence into a category using German grammar patterns:
Noun: [Regierung, Deutschland, Nachrichten,...] Capitalized mid-sentence (German noun convention), 4+ letters
Verb: [hat, werden, gibt, kommt, findet,...] Matched against ~60 common German verb forms
Adverb: [eigentlich, wahrscheinlich, trotzdem] Matched against ~35 common adverbs
Content: [lange, andere, neuen] 5+ letters, not matched elsewhere — likely adjectives or uncommon words
Preposition: [durch, zwischen, gegenüber] Matched against ~25 prepositions
Article: [der, eine, keinem, dieser] Matched against articles, determiners, possessives
Pronoun: [ich, sich, jemand, nichts] Matched against personal/indefinite pronouns
Skip: [und, oder, ja, so, da] Too easy / too structural — never blanked

Step 2 — Weight each candidate for random selection:
Nouns get weight 10, content words 8, verbs 7, adverbs 5, prepositions 3, articles/pronouns 2. A small length bonus (up to +2.4) is added so longer words are slightly preferred but don't dominate.

Step 3 — Weighted random pick without replacement. So a noun is ~5x more likely to be blanked than a pronoun, but sometimes you'll still get a tricky preposition or article. Each time you change difficulty or reload, the seed resets so you get a fresh random mix.
