Horizon Notifier

Horizon Notifier keeps UCP students on top of everything
happening across their courses — without clicking into
each one individually.

After logging in to the Horizon portal, click Scan All
Courses once. The extension scans every course and
collects all announcements, materials, submissions,
grades, and outlines into a single side panel, grouped
by course with unread badges.

KEY FEATURES

- Course Updates Panel — all announcements, materials,
submissions, grades, and outlines in one slide-in panel,
grouped by course with live unread counts.

- Pending Submissions — a dedicated panel showing every
assignment still waiting for upload, sorted by urgency.
Due Soon and Overdue items appear first with a direct
link to open the submission page.

- Makeup Classes — automatically pulls your makeup and
extra class schedule and displays subject, day, time,
and room in a clean card view.

- Desktop Notifications — get an instant alert the moment
a new announcement, material, grade, or submission is
posted.

- Course Card Badges — red unread counts appear directly
on your dashboard course cards. Hover to preview the
two most recent updates.

- Auto Scan on Login — optionally trigger a full scan
automatically every time you log in to the portal.

- Read / Unread Tracking — items dim as you read them.
Switch between Unread Only and Show All at any time.

PRIVACY

All data stays on your device. Nothing is collected,
transmitted, or shared. The extension only reads the
course pages you already have access to as a logged-in
student and stores everything locally using
chrome.storage.local.

This extension is built exclusively for students of the
University of Central Punjab using the Horizon student
portal at horizon.ucp.edu.pk.
