Overview
HomeRiskRadar helps home buyers slow down before falling in love with a property.
Open the Chrome side panel while reviewing a home listing, or enter an address manually. HomeRiskRadar turns public-data signals into a buyer-friendly risk check: flood context, nearby water, pollution, Superfund context, safety links, school geography, Census income and demographics, food access, road and rail friction, insurance questions, and estimated monthly carrying cost.
The goal is not to replace professionals. It is to help buyers ask better questions before they tour, inspect, insure, appraise, or make an offer.
What HomeRiskRadar shows:
- Deal-breaker radar for flood, pollution, safety, insurance, payment pressure, and inspection follow-ups
- Upside radar for convenience, family fit, environmental comfort, budget room, and resale context
- Public-source status so you can see which data was read directly and which items need official/manual verification
- Nearby risk map for flood/water, regulated facilities, roads, rail, airports, schools, parks, transit, and emergency access
- Census income, demographics, housing, commute, and household context
- Monthly payment and carrying-cost estimate with editable assumptions
- Buyer checklist, tour plan, offer-readiness notes, and saved-home comparison
- Multilingual side-panel UI for common U.S. buyer languages
HomeRiskRadar does not replace a home inspection, appraisal, title search, school district confirmation, insurance quote, or legal advice.
Privacy boundary:
HomeRiskRadar does not sell personal data. Saved homes, settings, language preference, and loan assumptions are stored locally in Chrome storage. The extension reads the current listing page only when you open or refresh the side panel, and it uses public-data APIs to check address and neighborhood context.
HomeRiskRadar is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any listing platform or government agency.
