Holy Private Bookmarks —

Overview
Holy Private Bookmarks is a bookmark manager with AES-256-GCM encryption and master password protection. All your bookmarks are stored locally on your device — the extension never connects to external servers, never collects analytics, and has no subscription fees.
Why use it instead of Chrome's built-in bookmarks?
Chrome's default bookmarks are synced to Google's servers and visible to anyone who opens your browser. Holy Private Bookmarks keeps a completely separate, encrypted vault — locked behind a master password that only you know. If you forget the password, there is no recovery option, and that's intentional.
FEATURES:
• Saves bookmarks in an encrypted vault — accessible only after entering your master password
• Organizes bookmarks into folders with full drag-and-drop support
• Auto-locks after 10 minutes of inactivity
• Adds the current page with one click from the popup, or via right-click context menu
• Imports bookmarks from Chrome (all at once or folder by folder) and from HTML files
• Exports to encrypted backup or standard HTML (Netscape format)
• Fullscreen Bookmark Manager for bulk operations — move, rename, delete, search
• Quick Close Tab (Alt+A / Cmd+Shift+A on Mac) — closes the current tab and clears all browser history for that domain
• Additional keyboard shortcuts: lock the extension (Alt+L), open the manager (Alt+M), blur the current page (Alt+B) — all remappable
• Dark, light, and system themes
PRIVACY:
The extension uses the "history", "bookmarks", "tabs", and "scripting" permissions. "history" is used only when you manually trigger "Clear History" — it never reads or logs your browsing history in the background. "bookmarks" is used only for the Chrome import feature. "tabs" is used for closing tabs (Alt+A), opening the manager, and saving open tabs — the tab list is never stored. "scripting" is used exclusively for the Blur Page feature (Alt+B) — the script is injected only on your request.
There is no password reset. Your bookmarks are encrypted exclusively with the password you set during setup. Save it somewhere safe.
