Grammar Assistant is a fully offline, real-time writing checker that works on every webpage you visit. As you type in any text field, a smart floating panel appears near your cursor listing every grammar error, spelling mistake, and style issue — with one-click fixes that apply directly to your text, without ever sending your words to any external server.

★ FLOATING FIX PANEL — WORKS ON ANY TEXT FIELD

Unlike other checkers that only work on specific sites, Grammar Assistant attaches to every editable field in your browser:
• Standard input fields and text areas
• Rich text editors (Gmail compose, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Notion)
• Comment boxes, search fields, online forms

After ~1 second of typing, a compact panel appears just below the field listing all detected issues. No clicks needed to open it — it appears automatically and disappears when you move away.

★ ISSUE TYPES — THREE CATEGORIES

• Errors (red) — grammar mistakes, spelling errors, subject-verb agreement, wrong a/an, repeated words, missing spaces after punctuation
• Warnings (orange) — sentence capitalisation, their/there confusion, its/it's confusion, could/would of
• Style (blue) — wordy phrases, passive voice, filler words, nominalisations, redundancies like "very unique"

★ ONE-CLICK FIX PER ISSUE

Every issue in the panel shows the original text (struck through), the suggested correction (in green), and a reason. Click Fix on any individual issue to apply it directly into the field — the text updates instantly and the panel re-checks automatically.

★ FIX ALL

Click the Fix All button in the panel footer to apply every suggested
correction in one go. The panel re-runs immediately and confirms when no more issues remain.

★ SPELLING — 110+ COMMON MISSPELLINGS

The built-in spelling dictionary covers over 110 of the most frequently misspelled English words — including recieve→receive, mesage→message, seperate→separate, definately→definitely, occured→occurred, and many more.

Capitalisation is preserved when applying fixes.

★ QUICK CHECK PANEL (POPUP)

Paste or type any text into the Quick Check panel in the popup and click Check Text to get a full issue list outside the context of any webpage. Apply individual fixes or copy the fully corrected version in one click.

★ TONE REWRITER

Select a tone — Formal, Casual, Professional, Friendly, or Concise — and click Rewrite to transform your Quick Check text into that style. Use the result directly, copy it, or click Use as Input to chain multiple rewrites.

★ FLOATING ISSUE BADGE

A small badge in the bottom-right corner shows the total active issue count for the current field. Always visible at a glance, even when the panel is closed.

★ CONTEXT MENU INTEGRATION

Select any text on any webpage, right-click, and choose "Check grammar of selection" — Grammar Assistant opens the popup with that text pre-loaded in the Quick Check panel, ready to analyse.

★ KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

• Alt+G — Toggle Grammar Assistant on/off on the current page
• Alt+Shift+G — Check the currently selected text

• Enable/disable checking per page with the toggle in the popup
• Individual toggles for spelling, grammar, and style checks independently
• Auto-check on focus — panel opens automatically when you click into a field
