Overview
Gold Value Checker converts old prices into their gold equivalent at the time, then shows what that gold would be worth in today’s dollars, right in your browser.
How It Works:
1. Install the extension in Chrome.
2. Pin it to your toolbar so it is easy to access. You can click the extension at any time to use a manual popup calculator.
3. Open any article, archive page, or old document with prices in it.
4. Hover a highlighted price if the year is already clear on the page.
5. If the year is missing, click a suggested year or type one manually.
6. Check the hover card to see the gold amount and today's spot value.
