- Vague compensation language like "competitive salary"
- Understaffed-language clues like "wear many hats"
- Unrealistic experience requirements
- Generic or thin job descriptions
- AI-style language patterns
- Culture buzzwords paired with stronger red flags
- Stale listings when posting-age data is available

- Compensation: transparent, vague, or missing
- Location: clear, vague, or missing
- Work mode: remote, hybrid, flexible, or not mentioned

Company-Level Verification
- Checks whether the employer appears to have an active careers site
- Attempts to match the LinkedIn role against likely official company careers pages
- Gives a strong positive signal when the role is found on the company careers site
- Treats blocked, timed-out, or inconclusive careers-site checks as unknown instead of penalizing the job

Privacy first:
GhostJob only runs on supported LinkedIn job pages and only scans when you click the button. The extension reads the job listing content needed to calculate the Trust Score. For enhanced company-level verification, GhostJob may send job listing details such as company name, job title, location, description text, and local scan results to the GhostJob API. GhostJob does not read LinkedIn messages, does not access unrelated LinkedIn pages, and does not browse in the background.
