Ghostboard — Practice Ove

Ever play a move on Chess.com, then immediately wonder "wait, what would have happened if I'd gone the other way"?

GhostBoard gives you a second chessboard that floats over Chess.com and stays synced with your game. You can drag pieces, try ideas, calculate ten moves ahead, then reset. Your real game is never touched.

Think of it as your personal chess sandbox.

FAIR PLAY COMES FIRST

GhostBoard only activates on practice modes:
• Play vs Computer
• Analysis board
• Puzzles

It does NOT work on live games, daily games, tournaments, arena, or any rated play. This is a deliberate design choice. GhostBoard is built to help you learn and practice, not to give anyone an unfair edge. Your Chess.com account stays safe and you stay fully within their Fair Play rules.

We built this extension because we love the game. Cheating kills it. So GhostBoard simply refuses to load anywhere it shouldn't.

WHAT GHOSTBOARD DOES

• Auto-syncs with your current position in real time
• Click or drag pieces to explore any move you want
• Undo as many times as you need (no shame, we've all been there)
• One-click reset to snap back to the live position
• Flip the board to see it from your opponent's perspective
• Move the overlay anywhere on screen, even resize it

GREAT FOR KIDS AND LEARNERS

If you're teaching chess to a child, or learning yourself, GhostBoard is a safe, patient way to build visualization skills. Try the move. See what happens. Don't like it? Undo. There's no pressure and nothing to lose.

Coaches can use it to walk students through variations without needing a separate analysis tab. Kids can experiment freely and actually see the consequences of "what if" right in front of them, instead of trying to hold an entire position in their head.

Calculation is a muscle. GhostBoard is a good training gym.

PRIVACY

GhostBoard reads the chess position from the Chess.com practice pages so it can mirror it on the overlay. That's the whole story. Nothing leaves your browser. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no servers of ours involved. The only external request the extension ever makes is to Gumroad, and only when you activate a Pro license.
