Forkcast — Meal Planner S
View on Chrome Web StoreChrome will indicate if you already have this installed.
Overview
Forkcast turns "what are we eating this week?" into a plan you can actually shop for. Drag recipes onto a weekly grid, then let Forkcast build ONE consolidated grocery list from the whole week — no more rewriting lists by hand or buying things you already own.
What makes the list smart:
• Merges duplicates — 2 cloves of garlic in one recipe and 4 in another become "6 cloves," and compatible units are converted (1 cup + 200 ml milk lands on a single line)
• Scales by servings — cooking for 4 instead of 2? Every amount adjusts automatically
• Skips pantry staples — mark the things you always have (salt, oil, …) and they drop off the list
• Sorted by aisle — Produce, Dairy, Pantry… in the order you walk your store, and you can reorder the aisles
• Shows where each item comes from, so swapping a meal updates the list
Everything else you'd expect from a real meal planner:
• A private recipe cookbook — add recipes by hand, or paste a recipe's ingredient list and Forkcast parses each line into quantity, unit and name
• Weekly planner with drag-and-drop, custom meal slots (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack… your call) and per-meal servings
• Add one-off items, tick things off as you shop, copy or export the list as text, or print it for the fridge
• Light & dark themes, keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Shift+M to open, Alt+Shift+K for the planner), and JSON backup & restore
Private by design: Forkcast keeps your recipes, plan and pantry on your device with the "storage" permission only. There are NO recipe-site permissions, NO scraping, NO content scripts, NO account and NO tracking. The single network request is a small display-config fetch that only decides whether the Support / Go Pro buttons appear — it sends no personal data.
