Focus Reader — Dyslexia A

Overview
Focus Reader makes reading on the web calmer and easier — built for people with ADHD, dyslexia, photosensitivity, or simple eye strain. Everything runs locally in your browser. No account, no tracking, no data leaves your device.
Turn on only what helps you:
📖 Readable mode — adjust font (incl. OpenDyslexic), size, line spacing and column width; switch to light, dark or sepia themes for comfortable contrast.
📏 Reading ruler — a focus band follows your cursor and gently dims the rest, so your eyes don't lose the line.
🌙 Calm — stops animations, freezes GIFs and pauses autoplay videos to reduce motion and flicker. (Makes the web calmer — not a medical device.)
🎨 Color overlay — a soft color tint (Irlen-style) that can reduce visual stress and letter "jumping" for some readers.
🧹 Declutter — hides ads and cookie banners to remove distractions.
🎬 Guided reading (RSVP) — shows words one at a time in a focus panel at a steady pace, so your eyes stay still and you keep your rhythm. Select text or let it pick the page's main content.
🔠 Bionic reading — emphasizes the start of each word so the eye anchors on the leading letters, making walls of text easier to scan.
📑 Chunked text — breaks paragraphs into short phrase-lines, so your eyes track more easily and a wall of text feels manageable.
Available in English, Ukrainian, Spanish and Portuguese. The interface follows your system light/dark theme and meets WCAG AA contrast.
Free and independent. If it helps you, you can support development on Ko-fi ☕.
