Flying Comment Translate AI is a Chrome extension that translates YouTube Live and Twitch chats in real-time using Google's latest AI, "Gemini", and displays them as flowing comments floating directly across the video screen.

Even if you don't need the translation feature, you can use it completely for free simply as a stylish flowing comment display.

* This extension operates extremely efficiently. It randomly positions comments directly within your browser without relying on any external positioning servers (overlapping is not restricted).
* The translation feature optimizes your API requests by gathering comments over a specified time interval and translating them all in one batch.

You can also use this extension by acquiring your own API key directly from Google AI Studio (aistudio.google.com).

⚠️ WARNING (When using an API Key): AI Models other than 'Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite' (Recommended) are extremely expensive. Using standard Flash or Pro models carries a high risk of incurring charges of tens to hundreds of dollars in a very short time. Use at your own risk.

You can easily tweak the settings to your liking via the extension popup or the options page:
・API Request Interval: Adjust the translation frequency between 1 to 10 seconds.
・Cost Management: Save API usage by setting "Minimum/Maximum character length" for comments to be translated.
・Display Settings: Font size, opacity, flow speed, original text color, and translated text color.
・Live Preview: Instantly see how your setting changes will look on screen.

This service utilizes Google's latest AI via API. While we strive to provide a stable service, please be aware of the following:
* Temporary Restrictions: Due to a rapid increase in users or concentrated access during peak times, we may reach the AI model's "maximum requests per minute" limit.
* Behavior During Restrictions: If the limit is reached, translation/summarization processes may be temporarily skipped, resulting in comments being displayed in their original language or experiencing a slight delay.
* Resolution: When limits are reached, we promptly apply to Google for a quota increase; however, the review and reflection process may take several days to weeks.
* Liability: We cannot offer refunds for temporary degradation of service quality caused by such infrastructure constraints.

🔒 Data Handling & Privacy
【When Using Patreon Membership】
Translation requests are routed through the developer's Cloudflare Worker. Only your session token and usage count are stored for plan management purposes. We do NOT store any of your personal information.

【When Using Your Own API Key】
All data is processed directly between your browser and Google's servers. Your API key and chat data are NEVER sent to or stored by the developer or any third parties.
