Overview
Fluncle Lens turns fluncle:// Log IDs on any web page into clickable links.
Fluncle is a drum & bass discovery project. Every track Fluncle finds is logged as a "finding" with its own short Log ID — a
coordinate that looks like fluncle://007.8.1. These IDs show up in posts, chats, comments, and pages across the web.
What this extension does:
- It scans the text on the pages you visit for fluncle:// Log IDs.
- Each one it finds is turned into a clickable, gold-underlined link that opens that finding's page at
https://www.fluncle.com/log/<id> in a new tab.
- Hover a Log ID to see a small card with that finding's details (title, artist) and quick actions: open it in Fluncle, open
it in Spotify, or copy the coordinate or its web URL.
- Click the toolbar icon to see a list of every Fluncle Log ID found on the current page; the toolbar badge shows how many
are on the page.
- An options page lets you turn page scanning and hover cards on or off.
Why it's useful: fluncle:// Log IDs are plain text and not clickable on their own. This extension makes them work like
links, so you can go straight from any mention of a Log ID to the track it points to, without copying and pasting.
Privacy: All page scanning happens locally in your browser. No page content, URL, or browsing history is ever sent anywhere.
The only network request is a public lookup of a single finding by its Log ID (https://www.fluncle.com/api/tracks/<id>),
made only after a valid fluncle:// ID is detected on the page, to fill in the hover card.
