Overview
Fake Lag turns your browser into a convincing broken computer — perfect for pranking a coworker, roommate, or friend.
Once installed, every click on every website is delayed by a customizable amount. No sounds. No popups. No obvious signs anything is wrong. Just a computer that feels frustratingly slow for no apparent reason.
How it works:
Install it on someone's Chrome while they step away, then refresh any tabs they already have open. Within minutes they'll be blaming their WiFi, restarting the router, or Googling "why is my computer so slow."
Two lag modes:
🎲 Random — delay varies wildly with every click, just like a flaky internet connection
📈 Increasing — gets a little worse with every single click. Starts subtle, ends unbearable.
Features:
Adjustable delay from 100ms (barely noticeable) to 5,000ms (completely maddening)
Loading spinner on click so everything looks genuinely broken
Works on every website and every tab
Disable instantly from the popup — no refresh needed to stop it
Tracks how many clicks have been delayed
One-click reset leaves zero trace behind
Completely harmless. Nothing is modified, recorded, or sent anywhere. It only delays clicks — the moment you disable it, everything returns to normal instantly.
Google Chrome only.
