Overview

Evigrade Skin analyzes cosmetic ingredients right on the product page. Each ingredient gets a traffic light:

🟢 Green – works. RCTs exist, evidence-based dermatologists recommend.
🟡 Yellow – uncertain. Limited studies, weak or unstable effect.
🔴 Red – doesn't work. Molecule can't penetrate skin, mechanism impossible, or inefficacy proven.

How it works:

1. Open a product page on any supported retailer.
2. The extension automatically finds the ingredient list and colors each component.
3. A panel appears below the ingredients with a breakdown: how many work, how many are uncertain, how many are useless.

Features (all free during early access):

– Position-based analysis. Per EU regulations, ingredients are listed in descending concentration order. If alcohol or SLS is in the top 5, that's a high concentration and irritation risk.
– Skin type guidance for each ingredient.
– Allergen risk and pregnancy safety indicators.
– Manual paste mode: paste any ingredient list for instant analysis.
– Personal stop-list of allergens and unwanted ingredients.
– Side-by-side product comparison.

Early access:

Evigrade Skin is in early access. The full database, traffic-light analysis, manual paste, stop-list, and product comparison are open to everyone right now. Paid Pro features (unlimited stop-list, full history, in-search highlighting, branded PDF reports for professionals) are in active development – join the waitlist on the pricing page to get an invite and a launch discount.

Where it works: The extension supports major cosmetic marketplaces and chains across Spain, Russia, the EU, the UK, and the US. The full list of domains is shown in the Chrome install dialog as the sites the extension requests access to.

Data sources:

The Evigrade database is built on international clinical studies, systematic reviews, and recommendations from evidence-based dermatologists. Every ingredient is manually reviewed by our editorial team. Full ingredient cards with citations are available at evigrade.com.

Why a traffic light instead of A–F grading:

Cosmetic research is less rigorous than pharmaceutical: smaller samples, shorter follow-up, predominantly industry-funded. A strict letter grade loses meaning in the cosmetic context – almost nothing earns an A. The traffic light honestly reflects the real evidence base.

Privacy:

The extension works anonymously and does not collect browsing history or personal data. Only the ingredient list from the current page is sent to our server for matching against the database. The waitlist form on the pricing page collects your email only with your explicit consent. Full policy: https://evigrade.com/en/privacy
