Watch product prices across any major store. Get notified when they drop. 100% local, no tracking.

Dropwatch runs quietly in your browser. Click the extension icon on any product page with structured data (most major retailers), hit "Track this", and Dropwatch will re-check the price every 6 hours in the background. When it drops below your threshold, you get an OS notification and a badge on the extension icon.

✦ HOW IT WORKS
Click the Dropwatch icon on a product page. If the page exposes JSON-LD or Open Graph product data, Dropwatch shows a "Track this" button. When you click it, you approve a per-store permission — this lets Dropwatch re-check the price later with your existing session cookies. Every 6 hours, a background check fetches the URL and parses the current price.

✦ PRIVACY
Your tracked products are stored locally in your browser. No data leaves your device. The only outbound requests the extension makes are to the product URLs you explicitly chose to track. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything.

✦ KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Amazon is NOT supported in v1.0.0 — their pages don't expose JSON-LD or Open Graph product data. An Amazon-specific extractor is planned for v1.1.

Sites with aggressive bot detection may return CAPTCHAs to the background fetch — in that case the extension skips gracefully; visiting the page manually refreshes the price.
