DownSub only requests access to youtube.com, viki.com (+ api.viki.io), iq.com (+ iqiyi.com), netflix.com (+ nflxvideo.net for subtitle files), and downsub.com — no <all_urls>, no tracking, no ads. Your subtitles are downloaded straight from YouTube / Viki / iQIYI / Netflix to your machine, and on-device translation runs entirely in your browser (no credits, no upload). AI summary and AI translation run on DownSub's own servers; nothing is shared with third parties.
