Overview

Headline: Image Grabber – Bulk Download from Dynamic & Infinite Scroll Sites

Detailed Description:
Stop manually saving images one by one. Image Grabber is a lightweight, powerful utility designed to capture and download images from modern, dynamic websites. Whether you are browsing a social media feed, a portfolio site, or an infinite-scroll gallery, our extension detects and fetches high-quality images that standard downloaders often miss.

Key Features:

Dynamic Detection: Specifically built to handle images that load as you scroll.

One-Click Bulk Export: Download hundreds of images simultaneously into your default downloads folder.

Seamless Integration: Simple popup interface that stays out of your way until you need it.

Note: For large batches (e.g., 1,000+ images), please ensure you click "Allow" when Chrome asks for permission to download multiple files.

Version 1.0.3 - 05/22/2026 Release Notes:
* Fixed Forced Refresh: Eliminated the "Refresh & Download" prompt. The extension now injects itself dynamically into existing tabs without requiring a page reload.
* Improved Script Injection: Refactored the content script to be re-injectable and handle "orphaned" states (common after extension updates or multi-user environment changes).
* Enhanced Stability: Fixed a SyntaxError that occurred when re-running the extension on the same page by utilizing safe variable re-declarations.
* UI Cleanup: Removed the unnecessary refresh overlay and updated status to provide clearer feedback during initialization.
* State Management Fix: Resolved an issue where captured image links were not correctly tracked in the popup after certain interactions.

Release Notes - Version 1.0.4
Summary: This release focuses on robust state synchronization, multi-tab support, and performance optimizations.

1- Per-Tab State Isolation: Each browser tab now has its own independent extraction and download state. You can now scan and download images from multiple websites simultaneously without any interference between windows.
2- Perfect UI Synchronization:
* The "Start Extraction" and "Download" buttons now appear together when a scan is finished.
* Stopping a download in the popup immediately updates the main window's UI and hides the download button on both.
* Extraction progress is now broadcasted in real-time; if you start a scan on the page, the popup will reflect the progress automatically when opened.
3- "Start from Scratch" Navigation: Added a lifecycle listener that automatically resets a tab's extraction state when you refresh the page or navigate to a new URL, ensuring you only see images from the current webpage.
4- Performance Optimization: Refactored the "Skip Duplicates" logic to check for previously downloaded images in parallel. This eliminates the "Starting download..." hang and makes the initialization of large download batches nearly instant.
5- Bug Fixes:
* Fixed a "Starting download..." hang in the main window.
* Resolved an issue where the download button would remain visible after a download was stopped or completed.
* Ensured consistent tab context is passed for all background actions (Download, Stop, Retry).
