Overview
Tired of squinting at raw Markdown in Discord messages? Tables, --- horizontal rules, bold, headings — Discord either doesn't support them at all, or its parser breaks on common content (a single in a file path is enough to wreck the whole block).
Discord Markdown Renderer is a lightweight, high-performance browser extension that fills in Discord's Markdown gaps. It runs seamlessly in the background, automatically detecting Markdown syntax in Discord messages and rendering it as clean, readable native HTML.
【Core Features & Benefits】
Markdown Tables: | col | col | syntax rendered as proper HTML <table>, columns perfectly aligned, full emoji and multilingual (including CJK) support.
Broader Markdown Coverage: --- horizontal rules, bold, **bold-italic**, underline, strike, and # / ## / ### headings — all rendered as a fallback when Discord skips them or renders them broken.
Parser-Failure Resilient: Discord's own Markdown parser is fragile with unbalanced or _`, often wrapping multi-paragraph prose in a malformed <code> or <em> tag that monospaces or italicizes the whole block. This extension automatically detects and unwraps the overrun before rendering, so your content stays clean.
Cross-Message Table Stitching: A Markdown table split across two messages by Discord's 2000-character limit (even mid-row) is automatically detected and stitched back into a single unified table at its original position.
Live Rendering: Conversion happens the moment messages load — no clicks, no setup, no manual interaction.
Zero Overhead: Minimalist, passively-triggered code design with no impact on Discord's performance.
【How to Use】
Just install the extension and refresh your Discord web tab. Any Markdown in your messages will automatically display beautifully.
