DD Vocab is a browser extension — it works inside Chrome and Edge browser tabs. Chrome's built-in PDF viewer uses a separate plugin that doesn't support extensions.

💡 **Tip for PDF readers**: Open PDFs in a web-based viewer like Google Docs or Mozilla PDF.js — then all DD Vocab features work because the PDF renders as normal HTML.
