Overview
Darvin is a fast, elegant link shortener built around a single promise: shorten any URL in one click.
-> WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES
• Right-click any page, link, or image: the "Shorten with Darvin" action turns it into a compact dar.vin URL.
• Click the toolbar icon to shorten the URL of the current tab.
• The short link is auto-copied to your clipboard by default. You can toggle this off from the extension menu.
• A small success card appears on the page showing the short link, a copy button, and a shortcut to create a fresh one.
-> WHAT'S NEW IN 1.10
• Smart dedupe. If you shorten the same URL twice while signed in, Darvin recalls your existing short link so your analytics stay clean. One click creates a new one if you really want a second.
• Anonymous or signed in. The extension works without an account. Sign in at dar.vin to claim links to your profile, see click analytics, and manage them all in one dashboard.
• English and Turkish. The UI follows your browser's preferred language order automatically.
• Redesigned success card with the Darvin mascot and a clickable "@username" chip that takes you straight to your links dashboard.
-> PRIVACY, KEPT SHORT
• No tracking, no ads, no analytics inside the extension.
• We communicate with exactly one host: https://dar.vin, to shorten the URL you requested and check whether you are signed in.
• The only thing stored locally is your auto-copy preference.
• Full privacy policy: https://dar.vin/privacy
-> OPEN, FREE, COLLABORATIVE
