Overview
Most distractions start the same way — a “quick check” that somehow turns into an hour of scrolling or something worse. CozyBlocker is a small, calm extension made to help you catch yourself before that happens.
It doesn’t try to scare you or control you. It just gives you a short pause — a moment to breathe and decide if this is really what you want to do. That small pause often makes a big difference.
ℹ️ What it does:
• Personal Blocklist — Add or remove sites anytime. There’s even a “hold to delete” feature so you don’t remove something by accident.
• Unlock Challenge — To open a blocked site, you type a few random words and wait for a short timer (you set how long — at least 60 seconds).
• Disable Barrier — Turning the blocker off also requires a small challenge: typing a phrase or entering a password you set.
• Auto Re-Enable — After some time (5–60 min), the blocker quietly turns itself back on. Just to make sure you don't forget about it.
• Safe Button — Every block screen includes a quick “Go back to safety” button, sending you to a page you choose in settings.
• Status Icon — The icon turns gray when the blocker is paused, so you always know what state it’s in.
🧠Philosophy:
CozyBlocker isn’t about punishment or guilt.
It’s about gentle awareness — giving you a small bit of space between impulse and action. You stay in control, but you get a moment to make that choice with intention.
No drama. Just a quiet helper in the background.
🔒Privacy:
Your data never leaves your device.
All your settings, passwords, and blocklists are stored locally using your browser's local storage. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no hidden network requests.
CozyBlocker is made to help you, not watch you.
