Overview

Turn any tweet into a clean, high-resolution picture in a single click. Copy Tweet as Image adds a small camera button to the action bar of every post on X (twitter.com and x.com). Hover a tweet, click the button, and a pixel-perfect image of that exact post lands on your clipboard, ready to paste into a chat, a document, a slide deck, or a design tool. No more clumsy manual screenshots, no cropping, no lining up the edges by hand. Just point, click, and paste.

The capture keeps everything the way it looks on screen: the avatar, the display name, the fonts, the media, and the light or dark theme are all preserved exactly as rendered. What you see is what you get, at full quality, every time.

📸 What it does
• Adds a camera button to each tweet's action bar on X, right where you already interact with a post
• Captures a crisp PNG of a single tweet, preserving avatar, text, images, and the current light or dark theme
• Copies the picture straight to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere in seconds
• Handles tall posts that run past the edge of the screen by scrolling through and stitching the pieces into one seamless image
• Shows an on-page confirmation toast with an interactive thumbnail the moment the copy is done
• Lets you click that thumbnail to open a full editor in a new tab for markup and styling
• Runs entirely on your device with no account and no sign-in

✂️ How it works
1. Open your timeline, a profile, or a single conversation on X
2. Move your cursor over the post you want to save
3. Click the camera button in the action bar
4. Wait a moment while the tweet is grabbed and, if it is long, stitched together
5. See the toast confirmation and the thumbnail preview appear
6. Paste the image into your chat, email, doc, or wherever you need it

That is the whole flow. Capturing a post to an image takes about as long as it takes to read this sentence.

🎨 Built-in editor and framing
Click the preview thumbnail and a dedicated editor opens in a new tab, giving you room to polish the shot before you share it.

Annotation tools:
• Pen for freehand drawing
• Arrow and line to point things out
• Rectangle and ellipse to highlight regions
• Blur to redact usernames, faces, or any sensitive detail you would rather hide
• Text to add labels, notes, or captions
• A select tool to move, resize, and rotate anything you have placed
• Undo, redo, and clear to fix mistakes quickly
• Paste an image from your clipboard directly onto the canvas as a movable object

Frame styling:
• Wrap the post in a background of a solid color, a gradient, or your own image
• Adjust padding, tweet size, and corner radius to taste
• Add a real drop shadow with control over blur, offset, and color
• Your frame settings are remembered, so the next capture matches the look you set up

When the picture is ready, export it your way: copy the finished result to the clipboard, or download it as a PNG file to keep.

⚙️ Settings that fit your workflow
Open the popup to decide how the camera button behaves. Choose whether a click copies the image immediately or opens the editor, and choose whether the copy is the raw post on its own or the framed version with your background and shadow. Set it once and every capture follows your preference.

🔒 Privacy
Your content stays yours. Copy Tweet as Image does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Every screenshot is processed entirely inside your browser and never leaves your device. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no external server involved at any step. Your settings are saved locally on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded, and there is nothing to sign up for.

👥 Who it is for
• Social media managers who round up posts for reports, recaps, and scheduling tools
• Content creators and marketers building carousels, thumbnails, and promotional graphics
• Journalists and writers who quote posts in articles and want a clean visual instead of a link
• Community managers sharing announcements and highlights across other channels
• Designers pulling reference material into mood boards and mockups
• Newsletter authors, educators, and presenters who drop tweets into slides and emails
• Anyone who wants a tidy picture of a post to share in a group chat without the clutter of a full screenshot

✅ Why people choose it
• One click turns a live post into a shareable image, no external tools required
• The output is sharp and true to the original, including the exact theme and layout
• Long posts are captured in full and stitched cleanly, not cut off at the fold
• The editor lets you annotate, blur private details, and add polish before sharing
• Framing options give plain captures a finished, on-brand look with backgrounds and shadows
• Copy to clipboard or download as a file, whichever suits the moment
• Everything happens locally, so it is quick and your data stays private
