Claude Auto Continue

Overview
Claude Auto-Continue automatically clicks the "Continue" button when Claude reaches its per-turn tool-use limit on claude.ai, so you don't have to babysit long-running tasks.
THE PROBLEM
Claude has a per-turn tool-call cap (around 20 calls). When hit, Claude stops mid-task and shows a "Continue" button. This interrupts automated workflows and forces you to manually intervene — sometimes dozens of times for complex tasks.
WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES
- Detects the tool-use limit message and clicks Continue automatically
- Works in active tabs, background tabs, and separate browser windows
- Shows a small toast notification each time it continues
- Configurable max continuations (1–999) or unlimited mode
- Pause and resume at any time from the popup
MINIMIZE TOKENS MODE (New in v1.3)
When enabled, Claude writes a compact 3–5 bullet summary of its progress before resuming. This reduces the context re-sent on each continuation, saving your usage quota.
HOW IT WORKS
The extension uses a two-part detection gate:
1. A visible "Continue" button must be present
2. A tool-use limit phrase must appear in the last assistant message
This prevents false positives from chat history that merely mentions these phrases. Detection runs every 2–3 seconds via both a background service worker (for all tabs) and a content script fallback.
