Overview
ClarityPal is an accessibility extension designed to help users better understand colour and visual information on the web.
It provides tools that support people with colour vision deficiency (colour blindness), dyslexia and anyone who wants clearer visual feedback when browsing.
Key Features
Colour Vision Simulation
View webpages through different colour vision lenses such as protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, and achromatopsia to better understand how content appears to people with colour vision deficiency.
Colour Identification
Hover over elements to see the detected colour along with its name, hex value, and RGB code. This works on webpage elements, images, videos, and canvas graphics to help users accurately identify colours.
Pattern Overlay
Apply symbols across coloured areas of a webpage so colours that may appear similar can be distinguished more easily. This is especially helpful for charts, diagrams, maps, and other visual content.
Colour Finder
Select a colour and ClarityPal will highlight matching areas on the page by flashing a symbol over them. This makes it easier to quickly locate specific colours in complex graphics or webpages.
Reading Assist Tools
Includes dyslexia-friendly text adjustments and a reading ruler to improve reading focus and comfort.
Smart Colour Conflict Detector
Scan webpages to identify colour combinations that may create accessibility issues, such as low contrast or colour-only signals.
All processing happens locally in the browser. ClarityPal does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
ClarityPal aims to make the web easier to understand and more accessible for everyone, including people with colour vision deficiency, students, educators, web designers, researchers, and anyone working with colour-coded information.
