🚀 Key Features

Type == in any text area or contenteditable field to open the snippet picker
Search instantly as you type
Navigate with ↑ / ↓ and press Enter to expand a snippet
Open the toolbar icon to access the side panel for:
-Adding and editing snippets
-Importing and exporting snippets
-Organize snippets with optional categories for faster filtering in both the picker and side panel

🔐 What Chitchatfill Stores Locally

All data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage:
-Snippets, categories, and extension settings
-Optional API keys (e.g., OpenAI), stored locally only
-Optional reminder settings and usage history
⚠️ This extension does not include or bundle any OpenAI API keys. You must provide your own if you choose to use AI features.

🚫 What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your data
We do not run analytics
We do not track your browsing activity beyond what is strictly required for core functionality

🧑‍💼 Your Data, Your Control

You are always in full control:
Delete snippets or categories at any time
Clear history and remove API keys
Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data

Chitchatfill only sends data externally when you explicitly use certain features:

OpenAI API
Used for AI paraphrasing or AI assistant features
Only the text you submit (and any context you choose) is sent
Data is sent to:

Uses your own OpenAI API key
