Overview

Google had to remove the "Maps" tab from Google Search. This extension adds it back and also makes the map image container clickable, whenever a location-related search is detected.

This google maps search extension is working as of 2025!

Detecting a location-related search currently happens in two ways:
- search query (can contain words like "address", "near me", etc), currently only english keywords are supported
- certain elements that appear on the Google search results page that indicate that the result is a location.

This makes life a lot easier by adding the Maps button back to Google Maps and will save you a lot of time!
