Overview
Scan engineering drawing PDFs directly in your browser and extract Bill of Materials (BOM), weld data, and drawing metadata. Export results to professionally formatted Excel spreadsheets — powered by piping.tools.

HOW TO USE:
1. Sign in with your piping.tools account (google sign-in available)
2. Open a PDF engineering drawing in your browser, or drag-and-drop a local PDF into the extension popup
3. Click "Scan Current PDF" to extract data
4. Review the results and click "Export to Excel" to download
LOCAL PDF FILES:
To scan local PDF files directly from the browser tab (file:// URLs), enable "Allow access to file URLs" in your browser's extension settings. Alternatively, use the drag-and-drop or file upload option in the popup — no extra permissions needed.
SUPPORTED BROWSERS:
• Google Chrome 88+
• Microsoft Edge 88+ (Chromium-based)
PERMISSIONS:
This extension requires access to PDF pages to extract drawing data. It communicates securely with https://piping.tools for authentication and PDF processing. No data is stored on external servers beyond what is needed for scanning.
