Bestdealer Sourcing

BestDealer Sourcing helps cross-border sellers create image-based sourcing requests from webpages.

When you see a product image online, hover over it and click the “Find on BestDealer” button. The extension sends the selected image to your BestDealer account, where your sourcing team can review the request, search for matching products on 1688, and manage it in your sourcing queue.

A BestDealer account is required. You can sign up at seller.bestdealer.com.

What you can do

• Create sourcing requests from product images
Hover over a product image larger than 100×100 px and click the floating “Find on BestDealer” button. No manual screenshots or copy-pasting are required.

• Capture useful product context
When you submit an image, the extension can attach the page URL and nearby product information such as title or price, when available, so your sourcing team has better context.

• View recent requests
The toolbar popup shows your recent image-sourcing requests, including their current status and links to the request details in your BestDealer account.

• Exclude specific sites
You can disable the in-page button on selected websites. Subdomains are matched automatically.

• Turn the picker on or off
Use the popup to enable or disable the in-page image picker at any time.

• Bilingual interface
The extension supports English and Simplified Chinese.

How to use it

1. Install the extension.
2. Click the BestDealer icon in the Chrome toolbar.
3. Sign in or create a BestDealer account.
4. Browse the web as usual.
5. Hover over a product image and click “Find on BestDealer”.
6. Track the sourcing request in the extension popup or in your BestDealer account.

Privacy

BestDealer Sourcing does not track your browsing activity, build behavioral profiles, inject ads, or use third-party analytics.

No page data is sent unless you click “Find on BestDealer”. When you submit a request, the extension sends only the selected image, the current page URL, and detected product context such as title or price, when available, to BestDealer.

The extension never asks you to enter your password inside the extension. Authentication is handled through your BestDealer account session.

Why permissions are needed

• Host access
Required to show the floating “Find on BestDealer” button on product images across webpages.

• scripting and tabs
Used to display the button, read your BestDealer login session, detect the current tab domain for site exclusions, and open request detail pages.

• webNavigation
Used to refresh the login status after you sign in to your BestDealer account.

• storage
Used to save language preference, picker settings, and excluded sites.

• activeTab
Used only when you submit a sourcing request, if page context is needed for that request.
