Basic X - Post like it's 2010 again.

Strip X down to the people you follow. No algorithm. No metrics. No noise. Just a chronological feed of people you actually chose to follow.

X is designed to keep you scrolling — the For-you feed, like counts, trending topics, "who to follow," Grok pop-ups, profile rabbit-holes. Basic X quietly removes all of it and leaves you with the parts that are actually useful.

Every feature below is an individual toggle in the popup, plus a single master on/off switch. Turn off only what you want.

WHAT IT HIDES

Feed
• Forces the Following tab on the home page and hides the For-you / topic tabs
• Hides reposts
• Hides promoted posts (ads)

Posts
• Hides reply, repost, like, and view counts
• Hides the bookmark icon

Profiles
• Strips other people's profiles down to header + pinned post — no endless algorithmic timeline of someone else's brain
• Blocks the underlying timeline network requests on stripped profiles, so X can't paginate in the background on a profile you can't even see
• Your own profile is untouched
• Optional placeholder card in place of the stripped timeline
• Hides follower / following counts (including hover cards)

Notifications
• Redirects /notifications to /notifications/mentions
• "Replies only" filter — hides notifications that aren't replies to you
• Hides the All / Verified / Mentions tab strip

Navigation & chrome
• Hides the right sidebar (trends, who-to-follow, premium upsell)
• Hides left-nav noise: Explore, Grok, Premium, Creator Studio, Articles, Communities, Jobs
• Hides the floating Grok button
• Replaces Explore / Search / Trending / Communities / Jobs / Premium routes with a clean placeholder
• Optional: keep Bookmarks visible in the left nav

WHAT YOU KEEP

A chronological Following feed. Replies to you. Your own profile. Posts from people you actually chose to follow. That's it.

PRIVACY

Basic X runs entirely in your browser. It doesn't send any data anywhere, doesn't use analytics, and doesn't have a server. Your settings sync via Chrome's built-in storage, and your @handle is detected locally so the extension can tell your own profile apart from everyone else's.
