Overview
Anki Translate Card creates Anki flashcards from any word you encounter while browsing the web. One click — and you get a complete flashcard with all translation variants, usage examples, and the original sentence where you found the word.
⚡ HOW IT WORKS:
1. Select a word on any webpage
2. Right-click → "Anki: create flashcard" (or press Ctrl+Shift+A)
3. Done — the card is in your Anki deck
✨ WHAT'S ON THE CARD:
• All translation variants grouped by part of speech (noun, verb, adjective...)
• Usage examples in the source language
• The original sentence from the page where you found the word
• A link back to the source page
🌍 ANY LANGUAGE → ANY LANGUAGE:
English→Spanish, French→German, Japanese→English, Portuguese→Russian — choose from 40+ languages. Powered by Google Translate.
🔧 ZERO CONFIGURATION IN ANKI:
The extension automatically creates its own card type and deck. No need to set up fields, templates, or note types. Just install, pick your languages, and go.
🔒 PRIVACY-FIRST:
• No data collection, no tracking, no cookies
• Translation requests go to Google Translate API only
• Flashcards are sent to your local Anki app only (localhost)

📋 REQUIREMENTS:
• Anki desktop app (free): https://apps.ankiweb.net
• AnkiConnect add-on (free, code: 2055492159)
• Anki must be running when you create cards
📱 MOBILE SYNC:
Create cards on your computer, review on your phone. Cards sync automatically via AnkiWeb (free).
