Add To Plantogether

Add to PlanTogether helps you collect and organize places while browsing Google Maps.

With this extension you can quickly save a location you’re viewing on Google Maps and send it directly to your PlanTogether account, without copying links or coordinates manually.

HOW IT WORKS
• Open a place on Google Maps
• Right-click anywhere on the page or click the extension icon
• Select “Add to PlanTogether”
• The place is saved to your PlanTogether collection

WHAT INFORMATION IS SENT
When you add a place, the extension sends only the information required to save it:
• Place name (from the page title)
• Google Maps URL
• Latitude and longitude (extracted from the URL)
• Google Maps place ID (when available)

Moreover, PlantTogether will recover for you:
• Category
• Description
• Rating

CONFIGURATION
To use the extension, you need to enter your personal API key in the extension settings.
The API key is stored locally using Chrome storage and is only used to authenticate requests to your PlanTogether account:
• Sign up to https://www.makeplantogether.com/
• Go to https://www.makeplantogether.com/places and copy you API Key
• Paste your API Key inside the extension's setting.

PRIVACY & DATA USAGE
• The extension only runs when you explicitly use it
• No data is collected or transmitted automatically
• No tracking, analytics, or advertising is performed
• Data is sent only to your configured PlanTogether API endpoint

PERMISSION EXPLANATION
The extension requires:
• Active tab: to read the current page URL and title
• Context menus: to add the “Add to PlanTogether” right-click action
• Storage: to save your API key locally
• Notifications: to confirm when a place is added or if an error occurs
