Accio Browser Relay
View on Chrome Web StoreChrome will indicate if you already have this installed.
Overview
Accio Browser Relay connects Accio to the Chrome tabs you already have open, allowing the agent to inspect and interact with pages through a local browser relay instead of a separate browser session.
Once enabled, the extension attaches compatible tabs through Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) and keeps the connection available while you browse. It is designed for local use with Accio running on the same machine and communicating through localhost.
Key features:
- One-click enable and disable from the toolbar or options page
- Automatic attachment for compatible tabs after the relay connects
- Automatic reconnect when the local relay restarts or becomes temporarily unavailable
- Persistent local settings, including relay state and custom control port
- Safer tab handling: the agent can only close tabs that it created itself
- Works with your existing Chrome tabs instead of requiring a separate browser profile
Typical setup:
1. Start Accio with browser control enabled.
2. Enable the relay from the extension.
3. Open the website you want to work with.
4. Let Accio inspect the page and perform browser actions through the local relay.
Important notes:
- The extension connects only to a local relay on 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
- Internal Chrome pages such as chrome:// pages cannot be attached.
- This extension is intended for users who explicitly choose to connect Accio to their browser for assisted browsing and automation.
